GROUP DISSCUSSION :- should national anthem be played in cinema hall or not ?

SHOULD NATIONAL ANTHEM BE PLAYED IN CINEMA HALL OR NOT?

Supreme Court announced that all cinema halls across the country should compulsorily play the national anthem before the screening of films and that everyone present at the hall must stand up in respect till the national anthem ended. Meanwhile, the national flag should be displayed on the screen while the national anthem is being played.

National anthem is regarded as a sacred tune that instils the feeling of pride and patriotism in the minds of the country men.

This move hasn’t been well received unfortunately. Not many people are happy about it. People feel that this is no way to prove one’s patriotism and they mustn’t be asked to mandatorily stand up. However, SC is serious about making this order implemented and it is going to stay.

AGAINST :- 

• Playing national anthem in the cinema hall is a wrong step from Supreme Court cinema               hall is not the perfect place to  play the national anthem.
• Peoples are going to cinema hall for enjoying movies, they should not be we forced to listen to national anthem it will reduce their personal freedom.
• Some peoples are not serious during the national anthem when paying in cinema hall they are only interested to watch the movie it creates disrespect to our nation.

FOR :-

• It instills the feeling of patriotism, especially in the young minds.
• National Anthem is played daily in schools too. It indeed increased our sense of unity and integrity.
• This move can teach national anthem to everyone.

Conclusion :-

Playing national anthem in the cinema hall is not harming anyone and there are various benefits this increasing respect and seriousness among peoples. Peoples should forget about their own personal freedom and enjoyment when it is of national interest.
